The Malony Shrivastava Memorial Foundation
was founded to continue Malony Shrivastava’s indomitable vision and
spirit.
The
Foundation will concentrate all of its efforts on various aspects of cancer
care, such as prevention, knowledge dissemination and volunteer support for
existing programs. All of the volunteers and funds received through donations
will be directed towards supporting existing programs in and around the Lower
Mainland.

Malony’s
life was an inspiration. She firmly believed in her
principles and lived them fully. She did not allow her cancer
diagnosis to change her way of life in any manner. Her
positive attitude, smiling face and penchant for happiness
remained with her throughout.
She
believed that knowledge was power and used every opportunity to
gain knowledge and not be afraid of the challenges life threw her
way. In fact, she transformed her challenges into
opportunities. We hope that through this Foundation we will be
able impart a bit of her spirit and enhance the psychological well
being of other patients suffering from cancer. |
